Nottingham Wolves Basketball Club is a newly formed team entering the Nottingham Sherwood Basketball League Division 2 from September 2025 onwards. As part of the preparation and finalising the team selection, Nottingham Wolves will be playing some Pre-Season friendlies amongst the other teams in the league.
It was a tough first game for us as we went up against the Sherwood League Division 2 Champs in the Trentside Titans but we showed up and took on the challenge. It was a shaky start in the first quarter as we did not play together like a team. Everyone was scared on treading on each others toes and was over passing instead of taking the easy layups or open shots.
At the end it was a close game with a few missed layups which would’ve easily swung the game in our favour and we could’ve easily walked away with the W on our very first outing as a team. Without any prior training or running any plays a team coming together having previously only played during pick up sessions is a very good showcase for the upcoming season. If we can nearly beat the champs, just imagine what a season with training and building chemistry together will do to our team.
